Immerse yourself in frequencies and vibrations to achieve a deeply relaxed and restorative state. Our bodies are made up of approximately 60% or more of water and we are electrical beings that vibrate on measurable frequencies. On a cellular level, proteins located on the membrane of our cells called cilium respond to sound as well as light that influence the well being and structural coherence of the cell. Additionally, soothing sounds trigger the release of happy hormones such as oxytocin and dopamine. We will incorporate various instruments including tuning forks, crystal and Tibetan singing bowls, drums, gongs and more.
What to expect
Sound healing is a holistic therapy that uses the power of sound to improve physical and emotional well-being. According to this practice, everything in the universe is in a constant state of vibration. When our body’s energy centers (or chakras) become blocked or misaligned, we may experience emotional, mental or physical distress. Using various sound healing instruments such as singing bowls, gongs, and tuning forks, practitioners are able to help restore balance and align our body’s natural frequency.
During a sound healing session, you will typically lie down in a comfortable position while the practitioner plays various instruments placed on or around your body. The vibrations of the instruments are said to penetrate deep into your body, helping to release tension, increase circulation, and promote a sense of calm and relaxation.
Sound healing has been used for centuries by many different cultures around the world. It is a non-invasive, gentle, and safe practice that can benefit people of all ages, from young children to older adults.
